Inventory Control Specialist

Inventory Control Specialist: Responsible for recording and tracking onsite assets, managing logistics, conducting audits, and ensuring effective utilization of equipment and resources within data centers with an accent on maintaining accurate inventory of IT assets and coordinating shipping/receiving. Focus on identifying and resolving discrepancies in inventory records and collaborating with operations teams for efficient resource allocation.

Location: This role will be 100% onsite-based at one of our data centers in Clarksville, VA. Applicants must have work authorization that does not require sponsorship from the company now or in the future.

Salary: $65,000–$85,000

What you will do

• Maintain accurate inventory of all hardware and IT assets within the data center region.
• Coordinate the shipping and receiving of IT materials and ensure their safe storage and distribution.
• Conduct ongoing audits of asset inventory to verify accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborate with the operations team to allocate resources efficiently.
• Keep detailed records of inventory, shipments, and audits, providing regular reports.
• Utilize inventory management software and communicate with various teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements

• Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with asset management software.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment.
• Comfortable working in a data center environment, and able to move and lift heavy objects.
