Senior Staff Field Application Engineer (Connectivity): Providing technical support and driving design wins for hirify.global's networking infrastructure solutions, including Optical and Cabling products leveraging hirify.global Silicon. Focus on hardware review, channel simulation, in-lab bring-up, and managing key customer relationships for Hyperscaler, Cloud Data Center, and Custom AI customers.

Location: Santa Clara, CA, USA, with 25% travel primarily to West Coast customer sites. Role requires eligibility for U.S. export control laws and regulations and primarily supports US-based OEM, Hyperscaler, and Tier-2 Cloud customers.

Salary: $119,330 – $178,720 per annum

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical support interface for US OEM customers for Connectivity products.
• Perform hardware reviews (schematic and layout) and channel simulation support.
• Conduct in-lab bring-up and provide API/CMIS support.
• Provide pre-sales and qualification support for US Hyperscaler and Tier-2 Cloud customers.
• Collaborate with business units to manage issue escalations and new feature requests.
• Build and maintain customer trust and relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role.
• Deep understanding of optical transceivers, retimers, and high-speed cable technologies.
• Familiarity with signal integrity concepts, SerDes tuning, link training, and compliance testing for high-speed links.
• Proficiency in lab tools such as BERTs, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with industry standards and ecosystems such as IEEE 802.3, OIF, and MSAs (e.g., QSFP-DD, OSFP, CMIS).
• Experience supporting or integrating optical and electrical interconnects in a data center environment.
• Scripting experience (e.g., Python).
