Brocade Technical Support Engineer (Networking/SAN): Providing technical support, fault isolation, and root cause analysis for data center storage area networking solutions with an accent on diagnosing and solving complex technical issues for OEMs and customers. Focus on managing problem resolution plans, documenting client calls, and analyzing data traces from protocol analyzers.
Location: Onsite in San Jose, California, USA. No remote work option available. Shift schedule: Sunday – Thursday 3pm – 12 am Pacific Time.
Salary: $101,000–$162,000 annually.

What you will do
- Provide technical support via phone, email, and web to hirify.global/Brocade OEMs and customers.
- Understand, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve OEM and customer issues.
- Define and manage problem resolution plans, communicating closure and resolution.
- Document client calls in the service request database and perform lab replication and research for difficult problems.
- Assist in improving and creating processes and procedures for the Support Team.
- Work as part of the Global Team, seamlessly providing support regardless of location/time zone.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Technical Support Environment.
- Working knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, including Storage Area Network (SAN).
- Understanding of SNMP monitoring and management.
- Excellent knowledge of Windows and Linux/UNIX servers.
- Excellent customer communication, problem-solving, planning and organization skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Scripting knowledge.
- Additional European Language (Spoken business level).
