Sales Engineering Manager (Data Security)

Location: Remote, TOLA (US); willingness to travel up to 75% as needed.

Compensation: $300,000–$340,000 total compensation.

What you will do

• Lead, manage, mentor, and support the career development of the sales engineering team.
• Collaborate with sales, product development, and R&D to qualify opportunities and create tailored technical solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements for prospective customers.
• Advise customers throughout the sales cycle and address technical questions and concerns.
• Maintain technical documentation, solution architectures, proposals, and case studies.
• Track industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging technologies while representing the company at events and webinars.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 7–10 years of sales engineering or related technical experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience with cloud technologies, TDR, CASB, DLP, or data security.
• Strong knowledge of AWS and/or Azure roles, permissions, and APIs, plus foundational networking and database experience.
• Foundational understanding of ML/AI, data regulatory frameworks, privacy, and data retention programs.
• Strong leadership, communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• AWS or Azure cloud and security certifications, including AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Cloud Security Engineer, Azure Security Engineer, or Azure Solutions Architect.
• CCSP certification.
