Sales Director (SMBs): Defines and owns the long-term commercial strategy for Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) within hirify.global PRO, building a high-performing, data-driven sales organization with an accent on market segmentation, pricing, and go-to-market models. Focus on establishing clear success metrics, driving commercial effectiveness, and strengthening long-term customer partnerships.

Location: Hybrid role in Berlin, Germany. Candidates should be based in Germany. Work from anywhere up to 20 days a year is offered.

What you will do

  • Act as a senior commercial leader for SMBs, representing sales at the executive level and contributing to company strategy.
  • Define and own the long-term SMB commercial strategy, aligning with overall growth objectives.
  • Set the direction for a scalable, data-driven sales organization, establishing metrics and performance frameworks.
  • Build, lead, and develop senior sales leaders and managers, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Champion the SMB customer voice, shaping experience and strengthening long-term partnerships.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to Product, Tech, Marketing, Analytics, and Operations, translating insights into product strategy.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior commercial leadership experience in SMB, digital, marketplace, tech, or media environments.
  • Proven success in defining and executing long-term go-to-market and sales strategies.
  • Ability to combine commercial judgment with analytical rigor for data-driven decisions.
  • Experience leading leaders and building strong management layers in complex, matrix organizations.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Must be based in Germany for this hybrid role.
