What you will do

• Design intuitive user interfaces and consumer experiences for Gemini, ensuring natural and efficient interaction.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to align design efforts with product strategy and user goals.
• Translate user needs, technical understanding, and business requirements into polished design solutions.
• Apply a systems-thinking approach to design work, understanding the impact of components on AI-powered experiences.
• Create high-fidelity visual designs, encompassing layouts, typography, color palettes, and iconography.
• Design engaging interactions and fluid interfaces, utilizing tools like Origami Studio, Principle, and Protopie.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience designing user interfaces for complex software applications, with specific experience in conversational AI / LLMs.
• A robust portfolio showcasing fluency in visual, motion, and interaction design skills, with examples related to AI-powered interfaces.
• Proficiency in designing user-centric experiences across diverse platforms (web, desktop, mobile).
• Demonstrated expertise in designing intuitive interactions for AI-driven products.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams through ideation, validation, and iteration processes.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and Principle.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and storytelling capabilities.
• Demonstrated experience thriving in a startup environment.

Nice to have

• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-centered product visions.
• Proven experience in executing innovative ideas leveraging AI or emerging technologies.
• Experience prototyping interactive experiences using Figma, ProtoPie, or Framer.
