What you will do
- Develop and maintain data policies, processes, and relationships for safe and compliant data handling.
- Drive adoption of data quality, data governance, and data handling processes for maximum value.
- Establish federation-wide data governance standards, including an interdisciplinary committee.
- Foster and maintain relationships with key data stakeholders and partners.
- Develop robust documentation around data handling, analysis, reporting, and data sharing.
- Propose new data governance workflows and tools for collaboration and consistent data use.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in healthcare analysis, business intelligence, data governance, information management, data standards, or data strategy.
- Experience developing written technical process documentation.
- Experience establishing and guiding workgroups to set standards and influencing stakeholders through change management.
- Experience with building and defining metrics and key performance indicators.
- Proficiency with G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office suite.
- Conceptual and functional understanding of data processes and infrastructure.
- Understanding of basic security and permission principles for a data governance platform.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills with English fluency required.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and respond quickly to changes or modifications in project plans.
Nice to have
- Experience with Data Catalog, metadata management software, or other data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
- Experience with project management tools like Asana, Jira, or Confluence.
- Basic understanding of SQL.
- Knowledge of healthcare data, including medical coding (ICD10, CPT, HCPCS) and HIPAA regulations.
- Familiarity with Tableau Desktop user management and Tableau Server.
