Gameplay Analyst (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Gameplay Analyst (Gamedev): Provides data analysis and direction to improve game KPIs, focusing on understanding player behavior, game design, and developing interactive dashboards. Focus on quantitative analysis to solve complex problems, owning A/B testing, and building new KPIs.

Location: This role will be onsite in our Austin, TX office

What you will do

• Provide actionable insights to improve revenue, engagement, and retention.
• Understand player behavior and game design to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop interactive dashboards using tools like Tableau, Excel, and Grafana.
• Perform quantitative analysis to solve complex problems using SQL, Excel, R, or Python.
• Own A/B testing design, performance tracking, and communication of test performance.
• Identify data solutions and collaborate with game development, QA, art, marketing, and customer service teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics or related.
• 2+ years of professional experience in analytics, statistics or engineering.
• Advanced SQL Skills.
• Understanding of relational databases and ETL concepts.
• Clear and effective communication of complex ideas and analysis.
• Self-motivated and accountable to work with little direction.

Nice to have

• Coding experience for Analytics & Data Science (R or Python).
• Agile/Scrum software development experience.
• Critical thinking and creative problem solving.
