What you will do

• Create real-time VFX for gameplay, combat, environments, and cinematics.
• Design effects that enhance gameplay readability and player feedback.
• Develop and optimize particle systems using Niagara.
• Create and optimize materials and shaders specifically for VFX.
• Collaborate closely with Design, Animation, and Tech Art teams.
• Ensure all effects meet performance budgets and align with the project's art direction.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a VFX Artist in game development.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating professional real-time VFX work.
• Proficiency with Unreal Engine and Niagara particle systems.
• Solid understanding of materials, shaders, and real-time rendering.
• Experience creating textures for VFX, including flipbooks, masks, and noise maps.
• Ability to balance visual impact with strict performance constraints.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping a commercial game title.
• Knowledge of Blueprint systems and Houdini for procedural VFX generation.
• Experience optimizing visuals for game consoles.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python or similar languages.
