Location: This is an in-person role in NYC.

Salary: $150,000–$200,000

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic recruiting plans to identify, source, and hire highly qualified candidates, focusing on software engineers, machine learning, and AI research talent.
• Partner with hiring managers and interviewers to understand hiring needs and continuously iterate on the interview process.
• Drive achievement of allocated hiring goals by filling target positions within target timelines.
• Build the talent function by designing, implementing, and executing recruiting processes and programs while maintaining a high talent bar.
• Manage and optimize a stellar candidate experience along the hiring process, including contributing to selling and winning candidates.
• Enhance Medal, hirify.global, and Highlight’s employer brands within the technical, research, and science community, particularly in NYC.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full life cycle recruiting supporting technical, AI, and/or research teams, including sourcing, candidate management, and owning talent pipelines and processes.
• Proven track record of scaling and building diverse and high-performing technical teams in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a proactive mindset and ability to operate with autonomy.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and evaluate technical qualifications across engineering, data engineering, and/or machine learning.
• Passion for AI's potential and ability to proactively learn and stay up to date on current technologies and technical role requirements.
• Must be based in New York City (NYC) for this in-person role.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI researchers and hiring talent that works on generative AI, including video AI, world models, or spatial-temporal agents.
