What you will do

• Design, build, and productionize AI/GenAI services and platform components for Minecraft.
• Create reusable AI building blocks and reference integrations to accelerate studio-wide AI enablement.
• Own cloud infrastructure and MLOps, including data pipelines, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Improve reliability, performance, and cost with guardrails, fallback paths, and SLOs.
• Engineer for security, privacy, and compliance through secure data access patterns and threat modeling.
• Embed responsible AI principles (fairness, transparency, player safety) into system design and operations.

Requirements

• Must have US work authorization.
• Master's Degree in a related field and 3+ years OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5+ years of data-science experience.
• Experience in AI/ML principles, frameworks, and tools (e.g., PyTorch, Generative AI, RAG).
• Experience with big data technologies like Spark (PySpark) and Databricks.
• Skilled in Python and modern development practices (Agile, GitHub, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with multiple data modalities and ML domains including computer vision, audio, predictive modeling, NLP, time series forecasting, graph networks, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.

Nice to have

• Doctorate in a related field and 3+ years OR Master's Degree and 5+ years OR Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of data-science experience.
• Games industry knowledge.
• Skills in C# or TypeScript.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
