What you will do

• Spend ~60% of your time as a hands-on contributor, leading the implementation of scalable backend services and AI-native applications.
• Act as the technical "special forces" across 2-3 high-priority teams, solving the most complex architectural puzzles.
• Partner with Product Managers and ML engineers to turn experimental AI ideas into high-availability, production-grade services.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the AI pipeline from data retrieval (RAG) and ingestion to monitoring token usage, cost, and latency.
• Design and build complex conversational states, multi-agent communication protocols, and the supporting infrastructure.
• Champion engineering excellence and influence the organization’s technical direction by building prototypes and setting AI development standards.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in backend software development, including previous experience in a Tech Lead or Staff Engineer capacity.
• Expert-level proficiency in GoLang in microservice architecture.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and scaling AI-native applications in a production environment.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures and high-concurrency systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI Operations (AIOps) including LLM observability and evaluation frameworks (e.g., Langfuse, Arize Phoenix, or custom "Golden Dataset" evals).
• Proven ability to optimize RAG pipelines for both latency and cost (e.g., semantic caching, prompt engineering, or model distillation).
• Familiarity with building multi-agent workflows (e.g., using LangGraph, CrewAI, or similar).
• Experience building internal SDKs or libraries that help other engineering teams adopt AI features faster.
