What you will do
- Contribute to enterprise SaaS applications and services using Java.
- Design and enhance microservices, JSON and REST services, and distributed web applications.
- Fix complex bugs, perform refactoring, and maintain product quality and reliability.
- Participate in system design, code reviews, agile ceremonies, and release preparation.
- Improve testing practices across teams, including test-driven development practices.
- Mentor developers and communicate technical concepts to colleagues and leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years of professional Java development experience and expert knowledge of Java.
- At least 4 years of cloud platform experience, preferably with AWS.
- Experience with OS X and Linux, microservices, SQL, NoSQL, Git, Docker or other containers, and third-party or AWS APIs.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, RESTful and secure API design, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience in Scrum and DevOps environments; JavaScript knowledge is preferred.

- Experience practicing test-driven development.
- Knowledge of JavaScript.
