What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and operate GCP networking foundations for a cloud platform.
• Contribute to the delivery of modern cloud capabilities at scale.
• Handle incidents and problems, advancing solutions to improve reliability.
• Maintain enterprise-scale GCP networking and cross-cloud/on-prem connectivity.
• Work closely with Networks, Systems, and Software Engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Engineer GCP networking products using Infrastructure as Code.

Requirements

• Engineering experience building, configuring, and optimizing GCP networking at enterprise scale.
• Strong knowledge of Dedicated Interconnect, VPC Peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, Google DNS, Cloud NAT, IAM, and VPC-SC.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Git, Terraform Cloud, HashiCorp Vault, Harness, and Jenkins.
• Proven ability to develop, deploy, and own end-to-end product lifecycle within an engineering team.
• Proficient in Bash and/or Python for infrastructure development.
• Strong Terraform proficiency.
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Google Cloud Professional certification (DevOps, Network or Security).
• Intermediate Python development skills and experience hosting APIs.
• Experience writing guardrails in HashiCorp Sentinel.
• Familiarity with Egress proxies, IP management, on-prem networking, hardware firewalls, Infoblox, cloud proxy, and Entra ID.
• Experience with high-traffic monitoring systems such as Dynatrace and Google Cloud Monitoring.
