Mid-Level DevOps Engineer

Salary: £100,000–£120,000 per annum

hirify.global is hiring for an infrastructure-focused DevOps role supporting cloud environments and software development teams.

What you will do

• Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure across multiple environments, including networking, routing, firewalls, VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and dedicated cloud connections.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and reusable Infrastructure-as-Code templates using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Partner with software engineers to improve DevOps practices, deployment standards, documentation, runbooks, and self-service tooling.
• Maintain monitoring, metrics, logging, and alerting; investigate root causes and respond to infrastructure incidents.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery testing while improving reliability, security, availability, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects, sprint objectives, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps, SysOps, or CloudOps environment.
• Strong experience with AWS and/or GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes, including EKS or GKE.
• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines with platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Buildkite, or Bamboo.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Scripting experience with Python and/or Bash, plus solid knowledge of DNS, VPCs, routing, subnets, and VPN connectivity.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and technical ownership skills; occasional after-hours support or scheduled on-call coverage may be required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
