What you will do

• Own web design end-to-end, focusing on desktop-first experiences for complex investing and saving products.
• Frame ambiguous problems, identify user needs, and explore solution directions.
• Rapidly prototype, validate, and refine ideas efficiently using AI-assisted tools.
• Produce high-fidelity Figma designs with full detail, including components, variants, and states.
• Design scalable patterns rather than one-off solutions, ensuring consistency and long-term maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to ensure designs are user-centered and technically grounded.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of frontend constraints, including components, responsiveness, performance, and data loading.
• Ability to design systems and interactions with technical awareness, not just visual polish.
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in complex product environments.
• Clear and precise communication skills to explain design intent and rationale.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and moving work forward independently.
• Must be based in Amsterdam and work from the office 1-2 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI as part of the design and engineering workflow (UI generation, Figma ↔ code translation).
• Understanding of modern web tech stacks such as React, Vue.js, TypeScript, and Node.
• Background in financial products or other complex, regulated domains.
