Customer Reference Specialist (Marketing): Building a world-class customer advocacy engine and producing compelling customer stories across various formats with an accent on coordinating sales and marketing reference requests, maintaining accurate referenceability, and driving social proof. Focus on sourcing, scoping, and delivering customer content, coordinating creative vendors, and recruiting customer speakers for events.

Location: Remote or hybrid out of one of our offices (San Francisco, Palo Alto, Nashville, New York City).

Salary: $50.00–60.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Support intake, qualification, and fulfillment of sales and marketing reference requests.
  • Maintain accurate referenceability, approvals, and logo rights, ensuring compliance with Comms/PR and Legal.
  • Assist in sourcing, scoping, and delivering customer stories across formats like written case studies, customer films, and fireside chats.
  • Coordinate interviews, compile notes, draft briefs, and manage reviews/approvals through publication.
  • Recruit and prepare customer speakers for company events, webinars, and executive programs.
  • Maintain dashboards and trackers, reporting on requests fulfilled, stories in-flight, and coverage by industry/segment.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years in customer marketing, customer reference programs, product marketing, PR/comms, or customer success in B2B SaaS.
  • Excellent project coordination, organization, and attention to detail across multi-stakeholder projects.
  • Strong interviewing and writing skills, able to turn raw inputs into clear, outcome-driven narratives.
  • Confident, concise communicator with internal and customer stakeholders.
  • Tool fluency with Google Workspace, Salesforce, and project management tools like Asana.

Nice to have

  • Experience coordinating video productions or working with creative vendors.
  • Comfort with AI/LLM product concepts and enterprise AI Agents use cases.
  • Light analytics skills for pulling, QA’ing, and presenting program metrics.
