TL;DR

Director, Strategic Partnerships (FinTech): Driving business growth through strategic alliances, M&A, and investments with an accent on partnership lifecycle management, deal structuring, and executive relationship building. Focus on aligning partnership strategy with product roadmaps and delivering measurable business outcomes.

Location: Remote. Must be based in North America. Employees can work outside of Canada for up to 90 days per year.

What you will do

  • Own the full partnership lifecycle, from value proposition development and prospecting to negotiations and ongoing relationship management.
  • Create compelling business cases that demonstrate mutual value and secure buy-in from management.
  • Build and nurture executive-level partner relationships that expand in scope and impact.
  • Align the partnership strategy with product roadmaps and corporate priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement partnerships and ensure measurable business outcomes.
  • Contribute to strategic build/buy/partner analyses to inform key business decisions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product / corporate / strategic partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances, preferably within FinTech or financial services.
  • A proactive ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, and managing partnerships with significant business impact.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) and relationship-building abilities across executive and operational levels.
  • Commercial acumen and analytical rigor to structure deals, model outcomes, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Exceptional ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives while coordinating cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with M&A transactions and valuation modeling.
