Global Head of Talent Acquisition Semrush
📍 Spain / Netherlands / Germany (Global role)
Semrush — a global SaaS leader with 10M+ users and 1,700+ employees worldwide — is strengthening its People & Culture organization and opening a senior-level role: Global Head of Talent Acquisition.
This is a high-impact position reporting directly to the SVP People & Culture, responsible for building and scaling the entire global TA function to support Enterprise, Product & Tech, and AI-driven growth priorities.
What you’ll do
1. Build and lead a scalable global TA operating model
— Design and evolve a TA model that balances speed, quality, cost discipline, and fairness
— Define clear responsibilities across TA, HRBPs, Hiring Managers, COEs
— Ensure the model flexes during growth, hiring freezes, or restructuring
2. Drive hiring excellence for critical roles
— Own outcomes for business-critical hires across Sales, Product, Tech, Enterprise
— Establish consistent, structured interviewing across all regions
— Partner with Employer Branding to elevate top-of-funnel quality
3. Strengthen leadership partnership & governance
— Advise senior leaders on workforce planning and hiring prioritization
— Enforce headcount, offer, exception, and location governance
— Ensure hiring plans align with budget, revenue, and operational constraints
4. Improve experience for candidates, hiring managers, recruiters
— Reduce friction while keeping quality and compliance
— Use data and feedback loops to refine the entire hiring journey
5. Lead and develop a high-performing TA organization
— Build a strong TA leadership bench with clear accountability
— Improve engagement, capability, and long-term sustainability of the team
— Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Who we’re looking for
— Bachelor’s degree (HR, Business, Psychology or related) or equivalent experience
— 7+ years in Talent Acquisition, including leadership of global or multi-region teams
— Background in fast-scaling, complex, or public tech companies
— Expertise in TA operating models, governance, and workforce planning
— Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into hiring priorities
— Proven experience hiring for Enterprise, Sales, Product/Tech
— Data-driven approach with mastery of TA metrics
— Ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively
Nice-to-have:
— Experience hiring in margin-focused environments
— Exposure to AI-enabled recruiting tools and TA automation
— Experience integrating TA post-M&A
