Director of Talent Acquisition (Europe)

AniCura, part of Mars Veterinary Health, is one of Europe’s leading veterinary care providers with 500+ animal hospitals across 19 countries. Our mission is simple and powerful: A Better World for Pets — and it starts with hiring exceptional people who care.
We’re now looking for an experienced Director of Talent Acquisition to lead and elevate the TA function across MVH Europe.
What you will lead
— Develop and execute a scalable, integrated, Europe-wide TA strategy
— Oversee high-volume and multi-site recruitment across hospitals and clinics
— Partner with senior leaders across Operations, HR, Compensation, and P&O to align TA with business strategy
— Manage end-to-end TA infrastructure, governance, technology stack, process optimisation, and reporting
— Strengthen employer branding and drive innovative sourcing for critical veterinary and support roles
— Lead, coach, and develop a distributed TA team (5–7 direct reports, ~25 indirect)
— Create a consistent candidate, hiring manager, and recruiter experience across all markets
— Use data and insights to optimize hiring quality, speed, and cost efficiency
You’ll succeed in this role if you have
— 15+ years of experience in recruitment / TA
— 5+ years in senior TA leadership roles with strategic accountability
— Proven ability to build and scale TA functions across multiple countries
— Experience in fast-paced, multi-site, healthcare, veterinary, retail, or service environments
— Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills
— Expertise with ATS platforms, TA analytics, and reporting (Workday / Eightfold is a plus)
— Fluency in English; additional European languages are an advantage
