TL;DR

Product Director, Monetisation (Fintech): Shaping product experiences for subscription and advertising businesses, focusing on translating commercial goals into user-centered product direction across FT.com and apps. Focus on improving customer lifecycle moments, integrating advertising seamlessly, and exploring new distribution channels with AI.

Location: Hybrid (London). Must be onsite averaging two to three days.

What you will do

  • Act as a strategic product partner to Reader Revenue Group and Commercial Client Group.
  • Lead product teams in improving cross-channel customer experiences across web and app.
  • Support the development of pricing, packaging, tier differentiation and paywall approaches.
  • Ensure advertising experiences integrate cleanly into the FT’s products.
  • Continuously improve foundational lifecycle experiences.
  • Partner with teams exploring new distribution, licensing and platform opportunities.

Requirements

  • Have experience working on subscription, lifecycle or monetisation products.
  • Are comfortable partnering with subscription and advertising teams to align product work with commercial goals.
  • Understand how marketing, customer care, editorial, advertising and product each contribute to the subscriber lifecycle.
  • Can translate commercial needs and customer insight into simple, effective product improvements.
  • Have experience improving cross-channel customer journeys across web, app and other touchpoints.
  • Build strong working relationships across Editorial, Marketing, Subscription, Advertising, Data and Engineering teams.
