TL;DR

Technical Artist (Gamedev): Integrating and contributing to a team creating innovative experiences with in-depth shader and post-process knowledge. Focus on troubleshooting art pipelines, optimizing art within the game, and creating material shaders and blueprints.

Location: Must be based in the UK

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot art pipeline and provide solutions.
  • Create and optimise material shaders and blueprints.
  • Work closely with the code and art teams.
  • Critique and iterate in a group and follow established art styles.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude for platform technology, asset discipline, and pipeline processes.

Requirements

  • Experience creating and optimizing shaders.
  • Creative and self-motivated.
  • Strong and versatile VFX skills.
  • Experience in Unreal Engine.
  • Experience using Maya and Blueprint.
  • An artistic education to at least graduate level with a strong folio including examples of shader work.

Nice to have

  • Console development experience.
  • Lighting skill and Houdini knowledge.
