What you will do

• Shape and govern the enterprise-wide modernization roadmap for insurance platforms, including modularization and cloud-readiness.
• Provide architectural direction to multiple delivery squads, ensuring alignment on key standards.
• Translate business vision into architectural roadmaps through capability modeling and structured assessments.
• Design future-state architectures covering policy administration, claims, underwriting, billing, and customer engagement.
• Define transition states, coexistence approaches, and sequencing for modernization programs.
• Lead architecture governance forums and produce clear architectural decisions and guidelines.

Requirements

• Certified Enterprise Architect (TOGAF or equivalent) with practical architecture leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of General Insurance and Motor Insurance processes, systems, and industry context.
• Ability to design enterprise-grade architectures using cloud-native, API-led, and modular patterns.
• Experience working across cross-functional squads, providing architecture oversight.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks and modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, Sparx EA).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Malaysian insurance regulatory requirements (BNM, ISM).
• Experience leading modernization involving both legacy and cloud-native platforms.
• Understanding of modern integration patterns, domain-driven design, or microservices architectures.
• Background in insurance system transformation initiatives.
