BCG Platinion Lead/Principal Architect - Data & AI

Location: Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, or Bangkok. Flexibility to travel within the Southeast Asia/Asia Pacific region is required.

What you will do

• Define and advise on modern data architectures supporting AI, analytics, automation, and business goals.
• Guide the adoption of cloud-native and hybrid data platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Shape data strategies, governance frameworks, data models, data warehouses, lakehouses, and interoperability approaches.
• Advise on data security, compliance, ethical AI, metadata, data catalogs, lineage, and data quality.
• Recommend streaming, data lake, data mesh, data fabric, serverless, graph database, and NoSQL solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and collaborate with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and IT leaders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 10–16 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or cloud-based data solutions.
• Deep knowledge of cloud data platforms such as AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery, and Snowflake.
• Expertise in data governance, master data management, compliance frameworks, ETL/ELT, data integration, and workflow automation.
• Experience advising on AI-ready architectures, feature engineering, ML workflows, and real-time streaming with Kafka, Kinesis, or Pub/Sub.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or Zachman architecture frameworks.

Nice to have

• Cloud data platform certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics, Azure Data Engineer, or GCP Professional Data Engineer.
• Experience with Data Mesh, Data Fabric, graph databases, and NoSQL solutions including MongoDB, Neo4j, or Cassandra.
• Background in data ethics, responsible AI, and AI governance frameworks.
• More experienced candidates may be considered for Principal or Director appointment.
