TL;DR

Business Development Representative: Generating meetings and pipeline by identifying and engaging key prospects with an accent on inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting. Focus on researching accounts, identifying the right buyers, and tailoring messaging to build urgency and drive replies.

Location: Must be based in Austin, Texas and be able to work in-office approximately 1-2 days per week.

What you will do

  • Convert inbound leads and qualify “in-market” opportunities.
  • Prospect into assigned target accounts and self-source new opportunities.
  • Cold call regularly and run multichannel outreach (calls, email, LinkedIn).
  • Research accounts, identify the right buyers, and tailor messaging.
  • Develop a clear account POV and earn meetings.
  • Partner with AEs to align on account strategy, messaging, and next steps.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a history of hitting targets.
  • Grit and resilience: stay consistent through rejection, learn fast, and keep iterating.
  • Comfortable cold calling and using the phone as a primary channel.
  • Confidently engage senior stakeholders and build trust quickly.
  • Thrive in a startup environment.
  • 1+ years of experience in sales/business development, or finance, consulting, or a related analytical field.

Nice to have

  • 1+ years in a customer-facing role including cold calling (sales, SDR/BDR, recruiting, fundraising, or similar).
  • Experience engaging technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, LinkedIn, Outreach, Apollo, Google Workspace.
