TL;DR

Corporate Counsel I (Sales) (Cybersecurity): Managing risk in drafting and negotiating sales contracts, NDAs, DPAs, and vendor contracts, largely for North American regions. Focus on advising internally on contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and improving contracting process efficiencies.

Location: Remote, must be based in the United States

What you will do

  • Lead drafting, review, negotiation, and dispute resolution for commercial agreements, consistent with company policies and objectives.
  • Advise leadership on associated risk/liability and devise strategies to minimize such risk.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to effectively negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Review RFP, RFQ, RFI, and similar requests, making recommendations to protect company interests.
  • Enforce organizational contract policies and procedures, maintaining deadlines and communicating on contractual issues.
  • Assist with the creation and drafting of related internal policies and procedures as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college and Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
  • 0-3+ years of experience with contract drafting, negotiation, and/or management.
  • Membership in a State Bar as an attorney, qualified to practice law in the US.
  • Good standing with the State Bar, including being current on individual state CLE requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in technology/cybersecurity industries.
  • Experience with compliance and data privacy.
  • English: B2 required

Nice to have

  • Certified Contract Manager (i.e., IACCM or NCMA certifications).
  • Experience working in-house.
  • Experience with international negotiation.
