What you will do
- Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of complex commercial contracts (service, partnership, vendor, supplier).
- Provide strategic guidance and risk-based assessment of contractual terms to align with business goals and maintain compliance.
- Design, implement, and refine contract management processes, including automation tools.
- Support cross-functional teams (Sales, Customer Operations, Product, Finance) on contract-related matters.
- Supervise and mentor a small team.
Requirements
- University degree in law (LL.B., preferably LL.M.).
- 6+ years of experience as a Legal Counsel or Senior Counsel, ideally in an international tech environment.
- Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements governed under Singapore Law and English law.
- Proven experience with legal process improvement and contract lifecycle management tools.
- Solid understanding of common law principles, data protection and privacy laws, including GDPR, and other major regulatory frameworks.
Nice to have
- Experience in IT, fintech, or regtech companies.
- Familiarity with AML/KYC and other compliance-related principles.
