Platform Engineer (Cloud Infrastructure): Building and optimizing high-scale, multi-region compute systems for the hirify.global platform with an accent on orchestration, automation, and performance optimization. Focus on designing resilient architectures, ensuring high availability, and managing high-volume workloads.

Location: Fully remote, hiring globally.

hirify.global is a Postgres development platform providing a complete backend solution, including Database, Auth, Storage, and Edge Functions, built by developers for developers.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain the hirify.global Cloud offering.
  • Design and implement systems to provision, scale, and manage multi-region compute workloads.
  • Own the full lifecycle of compute orchestration, from project creation to resource optimization.
  • Improve automation and observability across the compute stack for high availability and performance.
  • Improve system architecture to reduce costs while balancing security, reliability, and performance.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and resolve escalated support issues.

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering skills: Go and Typescript proficiency required.
  • At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
  • Cloud Infrastructure knowledge: familiarity with AWS constructs is required.
  • Past experience using AWS SDKs and IaC tools (Pulumi, Terraform, etc) to build and operate infrastructure is strongly preferred.
  • Track record of building reliable, observable, and maintainable systems.
  • Ownership mindset to operate independently with high-level guidance.
