What you will do

• Lead design and evolution of scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Define and drive adoption of SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets across teams.
• Architect and improve observability platforms including metrics, logging, and tracing.
• Own reliability strategy, risk identification, and long-term improvements.
• Lead cross-team initiatives for performance, scalability, and resilience.
• Mentor engineers and partner with leadership to align reliability with business goals.

Requirements

• 10+ years in software engineering focused on distributed systems and production infrastructure
• Extensive experience scaling systems in cloud environments, preferably AWS
• Deep expertise in reliability, SLO-driven practices, and observability (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Experience leading incident management, post-mortems, and operations
• Strong technical leadership and communication skills
