TL;DR

Engineering Manager (Container Autoscaling): Managing and mentoring an engineering team focused on building and evolving hirify.global's Kubernetes Autoscaling product with an accent on driving professional growth and shaping the strategic roadmap. Focus on engaging with complex technical problems, leading design decisions, and contributing to code reviews for distributed systems and infrastructure.

Location: Hybrid workplace in Paris or Sophia Antipolis, France.

What you will do

  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with Product to shape the strategic roadmap and impact user experience.
  • Engage with complex technical problems and work with your team to produce actionable plans.
  • Act as a core contributor and reviewer of code, lead design decisions, and participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Proven leader with the ability to manage team dynamics, set goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive work environment.
  • Experience building distributed systems and operating infrastructure with a focus on reliability and fault tolerance.
  • Possess a product-mindset and comfort working with product managers and customers to scope roadmaps.
  • Experienced in a fullstack environment with Go and TypeScript.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related scientific field or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Kubernetes and infrastructure auto-scaling.
  • Experience doing roadmap scoping with new products.
