Location: Vancouver, Canada (25-mile commute required). Expected to work from the office at least four days per week.

Salary: CAD $85,000 – CAD $166,800 per year

What you will do

• Build and ship Copilot Shopping experiences end-to-end, emphasizing frontend quality including UX polish, accessibility, performance, and reliability.
• Work across full architecture: client (web/mobile), services/APIs, data contracts, telemetry/experimentation, and operational tooling.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to define metrics, instrument telemetry, run experiments, and iterate based on data.
• Design reusable UI components and client patterns, contribute to backend/service integrations as needed.
• Drive engineering excellence via code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and performance profiling.
• Own live-site quality: monitoring, alerting, incident response, and improvements to reduce diagnosis time.
• Contribute to team growth through collaboration, documentation, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related AND 2+ years technical engineering experience (C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python) OR equivalent
• 2+ years professional software engineering experience building customer-facing applications
• Fluent in at least one primary client stack: Web, Kotlin, or Swift
• Ability to collaborate across design, product, and engineering

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree AND 3+ years or Bachelor’s AND 5+ years experience
• 3+ years building customer-facing apps
• Frontend/full-stack ownership on web/mobile (Kotlin/Swift/web)
• Client-backend integration (REST/JSON, GraphQL, SSE/WebSockets)
• Debugging, performance optimizations, accessible apps (WCAG/ADA)
• Collaboration with data-driven execution
