Cyber Underwriter / Senior Underwriter, Northeast Retail (Cybersecurity)

Location: New York, New York, United States

Base salary: $90,000–$115,000 per year for an Underwriter; $110,000–$150,000 per year for a Senior Underwriter.

What you will do

• Manage and grow the retail broker base and gross written premium while providing high-quality broker service.
• Manage and monitor a middle-market book of business and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
• Price and negotiate policy coverage and terms, identify account-rounding opportunities, and support renewals and new business.
• Solicit and analyze risks within underwriting guidelines and maintain complete documentation.
• Collaborate with cyber analytics, product, marketing, technology, and data teams.
• Help create tools that improve the underwriting process.

Requirements

• Experience as an underwriter or account executive in cyber liability, Tech or Media E&O, Miscellaneous E&O, other E&O lines, or specialty commercial insurance.
• Strong knowledge of specialty commercial underwriting, insurance theories, and industry practices.
• Technology affinity and the ability to work with advanced analytics software.
• Technical understanding of DNS, IP addresses, ports, databases, and computer networking concepts is strongly preferred.
• Clear, concise communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic technology environment.
