TL;DR

Stylized 3D Environment Artist (Game Art): Creating high-poly and low-poly stylized environments, weapons, and hard surface assets for games with an accent on optimal UV mapping, texture baking, and hand-painted texturing. Focus on interpreting concepts, ensuring modularity, and assembling assets within game engines.

Location: Remote (Argentina, Brazil, Georgia, Malaysia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine)

What you will do

  • Create high-poly (Zbrush) and low-poly models (Max/Maya/Blender) of stylized environment, weapons, and hard surface assets.
  • Follow and interpret concepts, sometimes working with partially ready concepts.
  • Create optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.).
  • Create stylized textures in Substance Painter and hand-painted texturing.
  • Have a good understanding of the modular system for asset creation.
  • Create tiles and trims and work with multiple UV channels.

Requirements

  • Experience in creating high-poly and low-poly models of stylized environment, weapons, and hard surface assets on given concepts.
  • High-poly sculpting in Zbrush.
  • Low-poly modeling in Max/Maya/Blender.
  • Experience in creating optimal UV mapping and texture baking.
  • Stylized texturing skills in Substance Painter and/or hand-painted texturing.
  • Ability to follow and correctly interpret/improve the concept idea.
  • Good teamwork skills.
  • English: Intermediate level and above (B1+).

Nice to have

  • Ability to assemble assets into a scene in game engines (Unreal Engine 4, Unity, etc).
  • Skills in CAD-modeling and Hard Surface work.
  • Skills in the creation of materials in Substance Designer.
  • Rendering skills in VRay, Arnold, etc.
