Location: Mountain View, United States. Employees are expected to work from a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. (within a 50-mile commute) at least four days per week.

Salary: USD $119,800 – $234,700 per year (U.S. typical base pay range). Specific work locations within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area have a base pay range of USD $158,400 – $258,000 per year.

What you will do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high quality data solutions.
• Develop and optimize data models to support data analytics.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract insights from large datasets.
• Implement data validation frameworks and monitoring systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
• Coach and mentor peers and emerging team members while advocating for best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding (C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python).
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
• 3+ years experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling or data engineering work (preferred).
• Solid experience with data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop (preferred).
• Expertise in SQL and experience with RDBMS, Key Value stores (preferred).
