Location: This role is based in our San Francisco or Chicago office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most hirify.globals have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner.

Salary: $202,000 - $256,000 for San Francisco, and $181,000 - $206,100 for Chicago

What you will do

• Partner with internal business stakeholders to draft and negotiate inbound commercial agreements.
• Provide timely and practical legal advice on relevant legal issues, risks, and company policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enforce global commercial contracting processes.
• Enable and train internal stakeholders on commonly requested revisions and non-standard terms.
• Apply innovative thinking to improve processes, systems, and develop scalable contracting frameworks.
• Support and manage a variety of ad hoc projects with the team.
• Stay abreast of emerging laws, regulations, and judicial decisions, conducting research and sharing knowledge.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably working in-house at a SaaS technology company.
• Law degree from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in the U.S.
• Prior experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (including purchase of goods, services, consulting, licensing, SaaS, DPAs, BAAs, and AI terms).
• Excellent legal and business judgment, integrity, and emotional intelligence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively.
• Demonstrated success working cross-functionally to set objectives and produce tangible business impact.
• Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and work efficiently and independently in a high-volume, results-oriented environment.
