What you will do
- Build business cases and technical differentiation for sales opportunities by educating customers and partners.
- Develop pre-sales engineering content (presentations, demos, webinars) for customer and partner audiences.
- Design solution approaches and architectural diagrams, including integration with other vendors.
- Educate partner technical sales teams on solutions and how to identify and position opportunities.
- Partner with the primary account manager and expand existing accounts with additional solutions.
Requirements
- Experience in cloud/security with working knowledge of at least one: AWS, Azure, VMware, Kubernetes, or HBSS; plus security technologies such as next-gen firewalls and IPS/IDS.
- Minimum 5 years supporting technical sales for enterprise accounts, or 5+ years in engineering/operations networking.
- Minimum 3 years in networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, routing/switching, firewalls, IPv4/IPv6, and UNIX admin; hands-on with switches/routers/firewalls in intranet/internet/extranet environments.
- Strong security best-practices knowledge and direct experience with at least one security product.
- Comfort with AI-powered security solutions and using AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Glean) to accelerate pre-sales workflows.
- Location: Remote location in territory in Southern or Northern California; travel 30β50% required.
