Senior Software Engineer Golang

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Golang): Responsible for the design, implementation, and integration of new and existing software features involving more complex application components and code. Focus on code design and automated testing, suggesting and facilitating improvements.

Location: Hybrid, requiring 2 days a week in the office in Edinburgh, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Develop good quality code without supervision, functioning as a key subject matter expert.
• Implement complex stories and fixes issues, writes unit tests and improves unit test frameworks.
• Design new components and APIs in line with existing architecture.
• Write new automated tests in line with existing tests structure.
• Review and enhances usability of implemented features and troubleshoots, debugs and isolates complex issues, proposes solutions.
• Define and delivers valuable, usable, and testable user stories, in a timely manner without supervision.

Requirements

• Experience in developing clean, maintainable code and follow commonly used best practices, in Software Design, Test Automation and in Product Design
• Experience of using Golang (GO)
• Professional experience in using Typescript, Groovy, GraphQL, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Helm, AWS, Docker
• Solid understanding of the software development process and experience in problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong OOP experience
• Knowledgeable of Web services development (REST, GraphQL)
• Experience with Agile and with Source Control tools (Git)
