AI Engineer (AI)

Part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, the Network Analytics Team develops high-level AI and ML solutions for telecommunications infrastructure.

What you will do

• Analyze and explore datasets to prepare them for AI/ML model training.
• Train, test, and fine-tune models using Python and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Integrate AI models into production systems via scalable APIs.
• Collaborate with software engineers to deploy solutions on on-premises Linux GPU platforms and GCP.
• Maintain code quality through clean coding practices, testing, and Gitlab CI/CD pipelines.
• Present results and provide transparent communication to internal customers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience delivering successful projects in AI/ML.
• Proficiency in Python and modern data handling libraries (Pandas, Polars, NumPy).
• Experience with LLMs, Hugging Face, or frameworks like LGBM/XGBoost.
• Strong understanding of NLP, Deep Learning, and ML model architectures.
• English language proficiency B2 or above.
• Ability to travel abroad at least three times per year for team off-sites and meetings.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agentic AI development.
