Research Associate (Fintech)

Research Associate (Fintech): Supporting and growing the University Blockchain Research Initiative by managing partnerships, analyzing research progress, and communicating success metrics with an accent on blockchain and cryptocurrency education and innovation. Focus on coordinating between academic and industry stakeholders, tracking project milestones, and fostering internal engagement with the program.

Location: Hybrid in New York with in-office collaboration 10+ days per month

Salary: $28–$30.50 per hour (NY rates)

What you will do

• Support and manage university partnerships within the University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI)
• Analyze interim reports and present findings to highlight success metrics
• Monitor research project progress and track milestones
• Connect subject matter experts and internal teams with university partners
• Promote UBRI culture internally and educate employees on partner highlights

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a Graduate degree program, preferably in Computer Science or related field
• Available for a 12-week summer internship starting May or June 2026
• Intent to return to degree program after internship
• Strong understanding of blockchain, cryptocurrency, or related fields
• Experience working with engineers in an engineering-driven culture
• Strong literature review, data analysis, metrics tracking, and reporting skills
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Proficient relationship management and ability to connect internal and external contributors
