What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, software engineers, and biomedical scientists in a multidisciplinary team.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable AI backend systems integrating LLMs and interactive UI elements.
• Drive technical decisions and provide context-aware solutions for AI systems in biological research.
• Experiment with cutting-edge AI technologies including orchestration patterns, fine-tuning, and monitoring.
• Lead core stack component development focusing on sustainability, scalability, security, reliability, and performance.
• Mentor and foster team growth through code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Must be based in France, UK, or Germany or able to work remotely from these countries.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken (C1 level).
• Proven experience leading software development at scale in production environments.
• Deep understanding of system architecture, infrastructure design, and building resilient distributed systems.
• Experience with continuous deployment, high availability, observability, and security in production.
• Hands-on experience or strong curiosity about AI systems, including integrating and evaluating LLMs.
