What you will do

• Design and operate end-to-end customer-facing AI features, from conversational experiences to intelligent automation.
• Architect agent-based systems involving multi-step reasoning, tool execution, and human-in-the-loop approval flows.
• Implement grounding and retrieval strategies (RAG) and select optimal agentic patterns for specific problems.
• Develop robust evaluation datasets and regression tests to ensure AI quality and debug model outputs.
• Ensure production readiness through observability, tracing, and safety controls against prompt injection and hallucinations.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product and UX teams to influence the technical roadmap.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems.
• Proficiency in Python and strong backend system design skills.
• Hands-on experience building and running production LLM-based systems beyond the prototype stage.
• Deep expertise in agent-based architectures (e.g., LangGraph) and retrieval patterns (RAG).
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures on AWS (ECS, Lambda, S3).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing.
• Knowledge of cost-aware AI engineering, including token monitoring and caching strategies.
