TL;DR

AI Platform Engineer (AI): Building and optimizing secure and performant AI Platform services that power Copilot for next-generation AI Agents with an accent on world-class orchestration and inference layers. Focus on defining and orchestrating disruptive multi-agent flows, partnering with research teams on foundational models, and ensuring technical excellence with human-centered design.

Location: Hybrid in Mountain View, United States. Expected to work from a designated Microsoft office at least four days a week if living within 50 miles (U.S.) of that location.

Salary: USD $119,800 – $258,000 per year.

What you will do

• Build secure and performant AI Platform services that power Copilot.
• Collaborate with platform, infrastructure, application engineers, and AI Researchers to build next generation AI products and services.
• Ship high-quality, well-tested, secure, and maintainable code.
• Find a path to get things done despite roadblocks to get your work into the hands of users quickly and iteratively.
• Work in a fast-paced, design-driven, product development cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience building scalable services on top of public cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience building distributed systems at scale and extensive systems knowledge (bare-metal hosts to containers to networking).
• Experience working with AI platforms, frameworks, and APIs, including using, deploying, and scaling language learning models.
• English: B2 required.
