What you will do

• Lead discovery and research to inform UX and Information Architecture (IA) strategy, including facilitating stakeholder interviews and content audits.
• Design scalable, accessible, and intuitive user experiences by creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and annotated specifications.
• Architect metadata models, taxonomies, and ontologies to support consistent data classification and AI-powered assistants.
• Integrate UX and IA artifacts into agile product teams, participating in sprint ceremonies and roadmap planning.
• Drive knowledge sharing and practice growth by mentoring junior designers and developing IA templates and design systems.

Requirements

• On-site in Stuttgart, Germany.
• DoD TS/SCI clearance required.
• 3+ years of UX design and/or IA experience, preferably in government or AI/ML contexts.
• Proven experience leading user research, usability testing, and content strategy initiatives.
• Strong understanding of taxonomy, metadata, data modeling, and content governance principles.
• Proficiency with prototyping and architecture mapping tools.
• Working knowledge of Section 508/WCAG accessibility standards and responsive design.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI/ML tools, agent-based workflows, or data labeling platforms.
• Experience supporting agile software delivery teams.
