TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fintech): Developing next-generation payments technologies to boost acceptance rates, cut costs, and fight fraud for merchants with an accent on API design, database performance, and scalability. Focus on designing and developing scalable, resilient payments technologies within an event-driven microservices architecture, and mentoring junior engineers.

Location: Hybrid in Shanghai (3 days per week in office).

What you will do

  • Develop next-generation payments technologies that enable merchants to boost acceptance rates, cut processing costs, and fight fraud.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional product management and engineering teams.
  • Define and design loosely coupled, scalable systems in a wider microservices architecture using industry best practices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, extendable, and testable code for impactful systems.
  • Build, own, and operate your systems to the highest levels of resilience and service.
  • Mentor junior team members and assist in their technical development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in .NET C#, Java, or Go, with a strong understanding of software development principles in either a backend or full stack environment.
  • Great communication skills and ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile environments and delivering high-quality code within deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
