Strategic Finance Lead (AI)

TL;DR

Strategic Finance Lead (AI): Building and maintaining corporate financial models, including services and subscription revenue, with an accent on forecasting ARR/MRR, sales/delivery capacity, and scenario planning. Focus on driving financial planning, supporting strategic pricing decisions, and owning key business metrics and growth analysis for a hybrid AI platform and services model.

Location: Remote in North America. Requires an overlap with 8am to 12pm PT. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in their country of residence; visa sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

• Own and maintain comprehensive corporate financial models for both services and subscription platform revenue.
• Lead internal financial planning, budgeting processes, and collaborate on annual/quarterly budget cycles.
• Support strategic pricing decisions by analyzing customer usage, delivery costs, and AI automation impact.
• Own key business metrics and conduct growth analysis, including CAC, LTV, ARR, churn, and utilization.
• Perform scenario planning and sensitivity analysis for new revenue verticals and strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of total experience, including 2+ years in a startup finance role and 1-2 years in investment banking, growth fund, private equity, or VC.
• Expert-level financial modeling in Excel/Google Sheets, with the ability to build complex models from scratch.
• Strong analytical thinking to translate data into actionable strategy.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to executives and stakeholders.
• Comfortable working independently in a high-growth, high-change environment.
• Experience with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Mode, Sigma, or similar).
