Location: Remote from South America. Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country of residence. Visa sponsorship is not available. An overlap with 8am to 12pm PT is required.

What you will do

• Build and iterate on LLM features and components for the agentic workflow platform.
• Design and maintain APIs and services for inference and workflow execution.
• Build systems to track and improve model performance, including evaluation, prompt optimization, RAG, and fine-tuning.
• Benchmark and optimize performance, cost, and latency across the inference stack.
• Strengthen reliability, observability, testing, and deployment practices for AI systems.
• Identify and integrate relevant advances in AI tooling and research into production features.

Requirements

• 6+ years building scalable backend systems or platforms in production.
• Strong coding skills and comfort with service-oriented architectures.
• Experience shipping ML/LLM-powered applications.
• Strong understanding of foundation models, prompt engineering, and evaluation methods.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Legal authorization to work in a South American country is required. Visa sponsorship is not available. Ability to overlap with 8am to 12pm PT.

Nice to have

• Experience building agent applications with tool calling, context engineering, MCP, and open connector integrations.
• Familiarity with trade-offs between major LLM architectures.
• Experience improving LLM serving performance in production.
• Experience with Temporal.
