Senior Software Engineer (Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot)

TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot): Designing and developing distributed, scalable systems for a Wealth Management platform with an accent on API design, microservices architecture, and database performance. Focus on building robust backend services using modern technologies like Java 17, Kotlin, and Spring Boot, ensuring solutions are correct, maintainable, and sustainable.

Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid model, 2 or 3 days in the office). You must be already residing in Warsaw and be eligible to work in Poland.

What you will do

• Contribute directly to the evolution of the core platform, enhancing existing features and building new ones.
• Take full ownership of products, participating in the entire software development lifecycle from analysis to support.
• Design and build robust, scalable backend services using Java, Spring, and Kafka.
• Embrace CI/CD, test automation, and clean code practices.
• Apply your experience in microservice architecture in a production environment.
• Champion an engineering culture of well-crafted design, clean code, and comprehensive testing.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 to 8+ years hands-on experience writing production-grade Java applications.
• Extensive experience using Spring Boot to build microservices, and with Gradle and Docker.
• Proven experience deploying and maintaining services on a cloud provider (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• At least 4+ years of experience with continuous integration and delivery (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Excellent working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Deep understanding of software build processes, including versioning, packaging, and delivery workflows.
• English: B2 required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Angular.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and optionally gRPC.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging stacks such as Elastic Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
