What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Azure using Python (3.11+) and Databricks / PySpark.
• Ensure reliable, secure, and high-performance data processing with cloud-native services.
• Support data-driven use cases across the organisation with clean, well-structured, and well-governed data.
• Contribute to a stable, automated delivery process through CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code using Bicep.
• Own the full lifecycle of data engineering solutions, from design to production support.
• Collaborate effectively in an Agile/Scrum team environment, applying risk-based testing strategies.

Requirements

• Education: BSc or MSc in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: Several years as a Data Engineer or Software Engineer in complex environments.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns.
• Proficiency in Python (3.11+), Databricks / PySpark, Azure services, and SQL.
• Experience with Java (17+), Spring or Quarkus, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Airflow.
• Ability to automate infrastructure using Bicep and build/maintain CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to have

• Experience with advanced Azure services and security hardening.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and microservices.
• Familiarity with financial risk systems or IFRS9 processes.
