What you will do

• Build and maintain robust data pipelines using GCP tooling such as BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Composer, Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
• Enable real-time data streaming, message-driven architectures, and scalable processing solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and consultants.
• Apply Infrastructure-as-Code, Agile, and CI/CD practices to manage deployment and operations.
• Develop secure, high-performance systems using Python and SQL for reliability and scale.
• Advocate best practices in architecture, security, and data governance.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar Data Engineer role.
• Completed a technical WO or HBO education (demonstrate a WO level of thinking and working).
• Expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its core data services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage.
• Skilled in collaborating with teams, communicating effectively, and strong analytical and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, data pipelines, API access, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to have

• GCP certifications, like Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.
• Familiarity with data architecture and data storytelling.
