Network Engineer

TL;DR

Network Engineer: Design, implement and improve network architecture of hybrid environment spanning multi-clouds, data-centers and campus with an accent on security, availability, performance and reliability. Focus on automating complex tasks, proactive issue resolution with root cause analysis, and mentoring less experienced engineers.

Location: Düsseldorf, hybrid (up to 2 work from home days weekly). Remote from different location within Germany or selected countries abroad for up to 20 days per year. Relocation package and visa support available.

What you will do

• Provide infrastructure foundation for core products as part of Hybrid Platform team.
• Design, implement and improve network architecture across multi-clouds, data-centers and campus.
• Automate complex tasks and develop solutions for improvement areas.
• Proactively resolve critical issues and perform root cause analysis for networking infrastructure.
• Share knowledge with other teams, document solutions and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years in network engineering with understanding of cloud technologies
• Experience with Juniper routers, switches and firewalls
• Understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and modern datacenter architecture (IP Fabric)
• Experience in automation using Terraform or Ansible
• Ability to present complex topics to non-technical stakeholders
• Participation in 24x7 on-call rotation

Nice to have

• Experience with data-centre hardware
• Experience with Google Cloud Networking
